
Jennifer has always wished to be an all-purpose celebrity. As a child she was a fan of a range different musical styles, including Afro-Caribbean styles like salsa merengue and bachata, and mainstream music like pop hip-hop and R&B. Even though she loved movies, music also intrigued her. West Side Story, a musical written by Rita Moreno (1961), was her biggest inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer was not just an amazing entertainer. She also went to 8 years at a Catholic elementary school named Holy Family. Jennifer then graduated after four years from Preston High School. Jennifer did well in sports at school and participated in tennis as well as track and field. At Castle Hill, she spent her youth in a 2 story home. After turning 18, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. Lopez began working at the law office, while also dancing at night.
