Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only one of Richard McCormick. Her family consisted of an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing and dance, and she would frequently present puppet shows to youngsters in the area. At the age of six, McCormick older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she'd like to go into show business. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964, which was when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. The year that followed, she appeared in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty-Cathy's doll. After that, she was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with the same family as a blended one. The five-year run of the show was a successful one. McCormick's memoir Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in 2008. In it she revealed the fact that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on stage of the show during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't just right.
