Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 1970s. Lennox made it through on a student's stipend as well as working part-time to supplement her earnings. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy in her performance when compared to that of the other students. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox was initially an instrument player in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band before they appeared in I.T.V's talent program New Faces. From 1977 to 1980, she was the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop group. As part of this group, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they created their own group, the Eurythmics the pop group. Then, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva that was released in the year 1992. This album became a huge hit, both in terms of sales and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album, released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite soul jazz blues tracks from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. The E.P. Her first solo album along with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, titled "Now I'm letting You Go." Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25th 1954. After minor recognition as part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to gain international recognition as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox debuted her solo music career in 1992, by releasing her debut album Diva. It included a number of popular songs including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and Why. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. The album features covers of such songs as No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with seven studio albums by herself and a compilation. |
